Day #18 of fever!

Noah went back to visit our best friend Dr. Lytle today. It was not a fun visit. He's sick of that place. I'm sick of that place. My wallet is sick of that place!

Ahh well another day another doctor.

The diagnosis did not get any better today. Noah has developed pneumonia. If you remember this Noah had pneumonia last year during the holidays. Evidently two rounds of pneumonia by three years of age is not exactly the picture of a healthy child.

So we will wait two weeks for Noah to kick the pneumonia and then go for more extensive testing. Dr. Lytle thinks there might possibly be an underlying reason why Noah can't seem to fight anything off. I'm not extremely worried because when I was little doctors thought the exact same thing about me.

Please pray for Noah and Cade. They are my precious babies and I just want them well!!

and They are both sick.

Noah got sick 3 Fridays ago! It started with him throwing up. With all the distractions from the vomit (and canceling a trip to Texas at midnight) we failed to realize he had a fever. Until he started seizing.

Noah had a seizure that lasted around 6 minutes when he was a year old. I honestly thought he had outgrown it since then. I was wrong.

We spent that night at Children's and were sent home with the diagnosis of feibral seizure. (Seizure brought on by a rapid increase in temperature. )

It wasn't long before Cade started getting sick too. They were both diagnosed with Strep Throat. Good. One round of amoxocyllin and they'll be better, right?

Wrong...

Since then we have been to two ENT's (with Cade) scheduled, and then rescheduled tubes. Cade has started Albuteral every 4 hours. He was also told that he probably has RSV.
Noah has gone through two full rounds of antibiotics and has had a fever over 101.0F for the last 17 days. Sigh....
I miss Summer. I miss healthy happy children. Most of all I miss my sanity as I am quickly losing it being cooped up in this house with two sick children.

Beach Buddies

Earlier in the summer we went to the beach with my family.

Lake (my nephew) and Noah seem to always pick up right where they left off every time they are together. This is amazing since they only see each other 3 or 4 times a year!

I know it seems like I am always posting pictures of Noah eating but it is truly his favorite thing to do.

We spent the 4th of July at the lake. Noah had a blast hanging out with grandparents and greatgrandparents! After the lake we went to a fireworks show at the mall area in Trussville. Noah LOVED the fireworks and Cade slept through them. I think it was the first time Noah understood it had something to do with our country's birthday. He does love a good birthday party!!

Just trying to get the ball rollin' again

Man it's been awhile since I blogged!! It's like once you get out of the habit you just completely forget about it. Then three months later you feel all kinds of pressure that if you blog again it should be really good because it's been THREE MONTHS since you wrote anything! How can I possibly sum up a whole summer in one blog?! It's just simply impossible.
The thing is though that I as much as I love my extended family and friends this blog has always been about Cade and Noah. I want them to have a record of our precious moments together. Since I have done such a poor job of this I guess I will just pick up where I left off. I do feel that I owe my boys an apology for being such a blog slacker. So here it is...
Cade and Noah I apologize wholeheartedly for letting this blog fall by the wayside. Please understand that it really is your fault though. If it weren't for long nights soothing crying children, feeding you what I would swear to be the equivalent of what a mother bear feeds her cubs everyday(or possibly more,) and playing pirates or trucks or hiding from the giant (FEE FIE FOE FUM) I would probably have a lot more time on my hands for blogging. So boys, really, if you want to remember your childhood you have to allow more time for mommy to blog :-)
So here goes a crazy attempt to catch up!!

Arrgghh Mateys!

This weekend Noah had his three year old birthday party! We had so much fun and most of his friends were able to come! About two months before the party I was looking for invitations. I thought we would do a cute frog or a little boy swimming since it was a pool party. Instead Noah looked at them and said, "I WANT THAT PIRATE"! I didn't even know he knew what a pirate was. Oh well, Pirate Party it would be! It turned out to be great. The ideas are endless for a Pirate Party. I ordered a HUGE pirate ship float off the Internet. Then I settled on a cake. (I always bake them myself.) We also filled up a pool with sand, hid treasure chests with gold candy in them (these were our goody bags). All in all the day was a success. Noah had so much fun that we had to drag him out of the pool along with his pirate ship that night! Here are some pictures....

Tonight Greg's company had their first company picnic at the Baron's game.

We had a really good time showing off our family to his co-workers.

Noah enjoyed playing in the kiddie park!

He also enjoyed meeting Babe Ruff and Lily Mays.

We had a fun picnic dinner!

Noah and his friends Mathew and Tyler could not get enough of Babe Ruff!

Even Cade got a little "Puppy Love."
